Only 3 holds?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 2:48 am

Is it me or does everywhere on here say it only matters in hjaa, dawnstar, and falkreath. What about any other hold like whiterun? That was the main thing I cared about was building my own home in whiterun on the flatish, lightly forested, non snowy fronteir.

You can only build in those three holds.

I think they only included the 3 because you can get a house in all of the other holds.

You can only build in those 3 holds, sad because I love the Rift area and would have loved to have a mansion over there. Ah well, Honeyside seems cosy enough.

Which one is the most like Whiterun (no snow, not surrounded by mountains and cliffs, friendly - perferably Imperial)

Falkreath, the other two are up north in the snowy parts of skyrim. Not sure on the exact locations, don't have the DLC.

Thanks, and Falkreath sounds like the most popular one so far too.. I guess that's the reason why lol

The house in the Pale is actually very close to Whiterun, however it still snows there. It's very close to Loreius (sp?) Farm, you can see the farm from your house.

EDIT: Just to add my opinion, I don't like Falkreath because it's full of dead and undead...which I personally am not too fond of.

Just watched a video to see where the House in Hjaalarch is, its between the abandoned shack, Ustengrav, and High Gate Ruins. I looks like a nice location to me as long as I ignore the two tombs near by. Don't thing it snows there much, it being so close to the coast and the Blue Palace.

Here's some pics:

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=16ibqrr&s=6 (You can see the Farm, the Guard post and even Whiterun itself in the distance)

It usually snows but I loaded a save where I was lucky enough for it to not snow.

EDIT: It's also incredibly close to the Tower of Mzark in case you like delving the deepest reaches of Skyrim... Being a Dawnguard I don't like the undead that much so this place seems the least creepy/most cosy to me.

Personally I hope they patch in more areas. I REALLY want a house in/very near the hotsprings of eastmarch Its a little irritating to me that they only gave us ones where you can't buy a house, ignoring other areas. The main draw of the DLC isn't to get us more houses, but to be able to build and customize our own.

I personally wanted a house in Winterhold. It's far snowier than the Pale and also has very frequent and heavy blizzards.

Thank you!! It doesn't look too bad minus the snow on the ground alittle bit lol
