Optimizing PC for Skrym?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 8:28 am

So I just installed a whole bunch of mods and I am now taking steps to optimize my computer for gaming. I have defragged it, I installed Vista Services Optimizer, and I am slightly overclocking Nvidia card. Any other suggestions to streamline things even more?

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1334322-skyboost-topic-7/ should help smooth out the gameplay for you a bit...assuming your pc is capable of running the game.

Since optimizing a PC for this game is the same as optimizing it for just about any game, this falls under General Hardware, and as such belongs in CD.

I will move this for you now.

You shouldn't need to optimize it much. However, there is a program called Game Booster, Google it, it may be useful.

Hey one more thing. Any reason why gamebooster and vista optimizer couldn't be used at the same time. It seems like they are doing similar things. They wouldn't clash would they?

Not 100% sure, never used Vista Optimizer. Can't see why it'd be a problem.

With 8GB ram I don't think Game Booster will have any effect.

You have a good system, what do you need optimized? It should be running Skyrim on max or near max settings (I'm not sure just how capable a 560 ti is). You can overclock your CPU maybe, if you need it. But you shouldn't.

Skyrim have dated graphics, my 4 years old computer can run it smoothly in ultra. Unless you're using HD graphics mods.
