Option for horse carriages

To physically travel -- or automatically port you at any point in the journey.

encounter bandit stops in this option seperate from spawn staged enemies.

pick up travel points on the way. road sign splits. etc. etc..

The things that come to me. brilliant

I'd love to have an option for the carriages to have real time travel, as well. It worked well in Red Dead Redemption. Love how Red Dead Redemption did the whole thing. I'd love for there to be quests that actually make riding the horse seem like a fun option. Something like the advantages for riding a horse with someone being having the rare opportunity to learn more about the quest along the way in a more realistic way. People don't just stand there talking when they have some super important thing they need you to do if they weren't standing there to tell you first.

It just makes more sense to have the option to hear the information about the task while walking or riding to the place where it must be done. This is only if the quest giver has you follow them.

I agree with this, defo. And + I find it really meh when you climb up on the carriage and that man starts sharing information about your destination, or mentiones some legend, but usually even before he finishes, loading screen appears and ruins it.

This. The carriages can be more than just paid fast travel.

They seem like they should have had the slower travel speed to begin with. I mean, the devs even made a mod that made the carriages take you to the hold in real time. This says enough about whether or not that mod could have been something for all platforms had the game not been released on 11-11-11. The fact that the guy who give some information even does that, and even says stuff that implies being in a hurry if you take too long to get onto the thing just indicates there's something missing.

Ranged stuff like bows and magic would be best to use since it would make more sense to do things at a distance.

This. I love Red Dead Redemption. They should have really done this instead of kind of making it fast travel that you have to pay for.

As your quote mentions that you play on PC, there is a mod that allows for real time carriage travel. Have you tried it? It works really well.

I don't really want to use the mod. Just don't want to. No other reason. No vendettas. No hate. Just indifference.
