I have an Orc character called: Ghados, but what is the use of a stronghold? I am already in one near Markrath, but I don't really see the usefull side of it?

They provide shelter and housing for orcs. Why is that not useful?

I think OP was expecting some kind of bonus if he went there as an orc.

I believe there are a few quests in some strongholds, as well as access to merchants and mines. Really, they're similar to towns.


There is. Orcs are the only race allowed to enter the strongholds without becoming blood-kin

Hmm thanks, but when I came in the stronghold I thought i could complete quests and buy orcish armor there, but that's not true.. haha

You can brawl with the boss!

Also pay a visit to the stronghold south-west of Rifton. They have a nice quest.

edit: ... which can result in a nice full set of orcish armour for you.
