Orcs need love too! Lok'tar ogar!

http://www.wowwiki.com/Orcish

"Lok'tar ogar" = "Victory or death" (A war cry)
as a warcraft player for over 10 years and a wow player for 6, i can safely say with 100% accuracy that loktar ogar means "for the horde". sorry bud.

that would require me to care about it/this conversation. i'm pretty content with knowing that loktar ogar means for the horde as i've seen the phrase in two games for the past 10 years straight. :goodjob:

So even though Lok'tar ogar was said in warcraft before the horde even existed and even though simply googling the phrase will bring up multiple quotes of the term I used it still means for the horde? Stop trolling.

Lol sorry, I can't resist pulling that one, well you're right I mean I've seen death threats uttered on YouTube whether or not one should use flat or rounded strings on a fretless bass guitar.

Indeed which is why a DLC in High Rock should be in the works. Side with the Bretons or Orc. Skyrim already has a great "revolution" system in place with being able to take cities for the Imperial or Stormcloaks. I think this would be a great time to start another war involving 2 races that haven't had much light shed on them throughout the series. Dreaming I know.
I see some problems with this,
1# There are a lot more Bretons In High Rock then there are Orcs, and unlike the Stormcloaks there is no homefield advantage.
2# High Rock is still a province of the Empire.

For what it's worth, Lok'tar ogar does mean victory or death. Lok'tar alone is a common greeting, which you hear all the time.

Well yeah out of all the people saying and thinking that dlc/expansions are going to be in Morrowind and Cyrodiil (because their landmass is in the game), I'd rather go to High Rock.
WHY THE FRACK would I want to goback to cyrodill?! The last game was there?! Could they BE any more uncreative?! Id much rather have some Dwemer DLC , or some Orsinium DLC or Summerset ISle Dlc, but seriously going back to the places where the last two games took place....what -the- [censored]....

According to Bethesda they put those landmasses into the data files for modders. Which means they won't be touching them if its deliberately intended for the modding community.

I despise Orcs in both WoW and ES. The whole Klingon rip-off "blood and honor" thing is tedious. Give me a haughty, sneaky, snotty Elf any day.

Orcs need love? We got freakin' settlements of tribal orcs, I've wanted that since morrowind, but yeah going to Orsinium would be nice. Just have to conquer it from the Redguards and Bretons after what I've heard.

And OP when it comes to non-tes orcs, real orcs don't say "Lok'tar Ogar" they say "WAAAGH!" just sayin'.

Orsinium was one city (there just aren't that many Orcs). That's why not.

Remember that what you see in game is just a representation: in 'reality' [lore] skyrim and highrock are huge areas hundreds of miles across and each province is made up of a large number of kingdoms, duchies, counties etc each with it's own cities, large towns etc etc. In lore the imprial city has something like a million inhabitants... more in one city than there are orcs in tamriel.

There is a quest in WoTLK called Blood Oath of the Horde where you swear in the Tuanka.

This dialogue is taken from that quest
----------

Will the Horde grant me chance to battle the Scourge?

Yes, taunka. Retribution is a given right of all members of the Horde.

To avenge my people, to drive out the blight that has engulfed our land - I will take your oath. I will pledge all that I have and all that I am to the Horde.

Then repeat after me: "Lok'tar ogar! Victory or death - it is these words that bind me to the Horde. For they are the most sacred and fundamental of truths to any warrior of the Horde.

I give my flesh and blood freely to the Warchief. I am the instrument of my Warchief's desire. I am a weapon of my Warchief's command.

From this moment until the end of days I live and die - For the Horde!"

Proof enough?
