Other Places the new FO game could be

So I was thinking, what made them choose Las Vegas? I think NY would be cool, not only NYC, but the capitol too. I mean, wall street, times square, the chrysler building, statue of liberty, ellis island, coney island, and maybe six flags great adventure in new jersey or six flags great escape in lake george, and u cld find the german submarines off the coast of Long Island!theres so many possibilities!!

Your ideas???

Well, the Fallout style is about the American 50's tech, culture and way of living you see, so it's in USA where it fits the best... but of course I, as any person outside USA, want to see how our part of the world managed.

I think it should be confined to the US because I think putting it elsewhere would ruin the seemingly happy yet actually tortured, paranoid feel of it.

Wichita, Kansas jut to be weird. Of course there's McConnell airforce base for military stuff. The general flatness of the area would help with incorporating vehicles. And if they let ya go far enough southeast there's some pretty good hilly type spots.

I used to live in NYC and now i live in Jersey so i absolutely would love to see a Fallout game take place in these areas. I think the next best locations would be Paris, Houston, London, Seattle, and Tokyo.

actually i think this weird blue zombie chick in my avatar space influenced me....somewhat..

but in a more serious note, what would the majestic Himalayas look like if they were full of bomb craters? hahahahahaha! (definitely this weird zombie chick...)

but theres really just too many places to see to just have one game for every major city, and while i do agree somewhat with the statement that much of fallout takes place in America, i would rather see Europe, Asia, and maybe even eastern europe. it would be nice to go to London for a bit, imagine coming in on a barge through the thames and seeing Big Ben in its ruined state... that would be nice...but again i have to say this, first America...then the World.

Yeah thats my first choice. but to have that big of land it prob be similar to the first two fallouts, because Its too much land to fit in one open land.
My second would be san Diego and Tijawanna* or mabey someplace next to canada just so we can start to see different countries.
Another good idea would be china, or mabey that as an add on, because theyd prob all talk chinese and subtitles would be annoying. I just want to see if china was hit as bad as us during the great war.

i used to live in nyc too(&i love it) it would be awesome (sticking to the early 20th century theme) the mafia, the freak shows in coney island and u could like set the freaks free, and go to the carnival that used to be in rockaway queens. and all the museums thru out ny, and the old battle grounds

@ savagebeatings, they talked about the struggling european principalities a bit in the introduction to Fallout, maybe we could learn a bit more about them.

yea, i asked that question a lot playing FO3, like, if DC is that bad, it makes u wonder if america was just as ready to nuke china. or have it take place near the great lakes or mississipi river or something

Haha yeah the freak show in Coney Island is pretty interesting and they got the Cyclone roller coaster and Nathan's. NYC has some of the best museums and libraries. Queens would be good location to have upper class settlers. You can't forget about the Rockerfeller Center as well. I dream of playing Fallout in NYC

Oh man the roller coaster part would be priceless. You're right, sniping in the city would be an adventure. I would be interesting to see a post-apocalyptic NYC. They should really take this into consideration

in fact for every new place, you should different ways of having the character, rather than have the courier, or be born into a vault, what if the character was born in the BOS, or the Enclave, born into slavery, or a real tribal in an area like south america?

And i would like to see one in Chicago and theirs a fake city splitting Chicago and the commonwealth

which would be in a war and you can choose which city like faction to work with

So there would be 3 cities but the commonwealth i considered a city so anyone get what im talking about

Canada! We annexed 'em and made them a part of the U.S, so I'd love to see some parts of our upstairs neighbor. Plus it would make those ice rink gangs (or "gang" more like it) from Fallout 3 a heck of a lot more fitting.

There could be some raiders with hockey masks and hockey sticks turned into makeshift scythes. Plus instead of hockey pucks, they could shoot active grenades at the player. :D

Van Buren covered what happened to Salt Lake City, somewhat, but Van Buren wasn't released; so I'd like to see a Fallout set in northern Utah, the Wasatch Front area.
