Note, this isn't about how good or bad something is on our profiles. What's there is there...

But anyways, so, I just noticed this section of our profiles, the http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/3968/jjp1.jpg. Never noticed it before. (Names and avatars of visitors I cut from screenshot, but I realized later that anyone can see who was there... eh, no will to do another screenshot and upload it.)

I have mixed feelings about things like this. I mean, sometimes i think it's better not to know. But I guess it helps when you want to see if anyone is stalking you? This visitors thing is also on another website I am on, and sometimes I see people visit that I don't know them from anywhere, as I can tell. And then I wonder what they were doing visiting me.

One other thing. The status update line. Somehow, it makes me think of Facebook. Or I guess social networks in general. And I don't know what to put in that line on this forum; I am not on a lot and it won't seem like the updates will be sufficiently timely or meaningfully serve a purpose (which I guess, is to give people a better picture of what's going with me, sort of play-by-play kind of thing?). So mine has been the same since May (though it feels like it's been longer than few month since I put that in). Maybe I am reading too much into this or taking it too seriously? I don't know, maybe these status updates are meant to be more... fun?

Eh, anyways, opinions? Is it better to know or not to know who's been to your profile? Am I too paranoid? Is this some ice breaker potential to get to know new people? Are there any other things about our profiles that leave you wonder is you want them there or not? Am I asking too many questions ?
