Cynisism.
I have to ask, why does it matter if he was rude or not?
He might be the VP, and maybe he was having fun. All I can see is at least you have a human at the other end, not some robotic PR person.
The fact you get his actual personality is a draw in itself. But if you don't like him don't tweet him, just like any other regular Joe.
He has his prioritizing in check. He is a big Wake Forest fan and they were playing their in state rivals (U. of N. Carolina - Tar Heels) on Sat. But the Fallout Karma system got him for his short remark; Wake lost 14 to 50.
Totally off topic, but if you take Codsworth as a companion he'll be saying your name throughout the game, not just once or twice.
I thought the tweet was funny, and didn't seem to be intended as rude. Twitter is an informal medium, and some random fan got to have a little informal jokey back and forth with a BGS bigwig. Some folks need to lighten up.
You try answering the same questions over and over for upwards of 10 years. Can't blame him for the way he replies.
I forget how truly thinskinned some people are. If something as simple as THAT irks you as being offensive, rude, or mean, You must speak to a LOT of Managers when you go out to places. Can't handle the way he acts and talks? get off his personal account and subscribe to BGS instead.
Love seeing people on a forum telling him how to do his job, I'm sure you all have much more experience than him in Community management and PR.
All this about a game that is going to be full of snarky NPC responses.
Yes, go out and play for the next couple of weeks, get some fresh air and sunshine. Stock up on the vitamin D because when the game releases, most of us won't have time for fresh air and sunshine.
This is one of the stupidest arguments I've seen on this forum (and I've seen a lot of stupid discussions here).
I'm still confused as to why those that use and read twitter are not called twits....
Actually kind of blown away that anyone could get offended at being told to get a life when contacting a businessman on his day off to ask a question about a delivery date that's already been announced...
hehehehe his answer was the best, ppl should stop spending every hour on front of a pc
Let's be clear,
Asking the vice president of the company about the particulars of shipment arrival from UPS, on his day off.
I'm beginning to understand why everybody hated Mayor MacCready.
This whole thread needs to go outside and play.
Go! Go play.
I'll tell you when lunch is ready.
Personally from my observations, Pete can be an ass and really doesn't seem to build rapport with the fanbase or show that he enjoys talking to people, but, on Twitter at least considering all the punks he has to deal with I can understand somewhat. He gets a lot of nagging and repeated questions or pushy kids. Still, for being a PR guy his public relations skills are sorta...lacking, let's say. Hopefully Bethesda doesn't cancel my preorder for saying that.
Boy we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel now.
I liked one I saw earlier:
random person- "Why Fallout 4 does not have co-op ?"
Hines- "because it doesn't"
hahaha I like him a lot
