Outside sounds in inside locations during the night Bug

So far all is good with my New Vegas saves except for hearing outside sounds (crickets, wind, howls, etc.) while at night in an inside location.

I've dealt with this a couple times, though usually re-loading the autosave fixes it, for me anyway.

Don't get why everyone is hating on the crickets. I like it :)

I like it too, I just hate it when you go inside, outside, and inside, and the sounds overlap and the crickets are louder than Mr. New Vegas is on the radio. (Seriously, he's loud.)

EDIT- though that hasn't happened in months.

I can be pretty loud too. ;)

Anyways, I still think that perhaps keep the wind and remove the cricket noises when inside?

Hah, nice. ;P

I wouldn't mind hearing wind outside, would make it feel like part of a wasteland, well, the darkness and the dust everywhere inside does too but...yeah. lol

Thought you'd like that xD

And; the wind would be realistic, as one: I'm sure there'd be cracks in the buildings that aren't maintained, as well as buildings even today, you can hear wind if it's strong enough :D.

When you press start and quit, the ambiance music and sounds play OVER the menu music, so there is something not right here...

Also, said background music used to cut out when you went into a casino or a shop, because it would be playing music at the time through a radio or another source. I'm guessing that is how it should be.

Yep, I hear it too and it's pretty annoying. I hate crickets in real life, so getting more of them in my videogames isn't a plus. :tongue:

@RuinedRequiem
When you load the auto-save is it a permanent fix or do the crickets resume after you exit a building to the outside and then enter another one? Because loading a save while inside a building eliminates the sound for me but as soon as I go back outside and into another building the cricket sound resumes.

Normally for me it's permanent, though on rare occassions it kicks back up afterwards.

I have that bug too. And I have not been able to get rid of it, so after a while i learned to accept the noise when inside, say, the tops, places where it is always loud.

Really the best and only thing you can do in that situation, aside from reloading mind you.
