It's awesome. Now I know I cannot possibly be the only one that has talked about this but I was quite proud of the accomplishment. First off, I read that the sister of the riverwood trader takes over her brothers shop upon his death.lightbulb went on. I married her and while walking down the steps at the temple of mara after the ceremony I plunged a dagger into her brothers back. Paid off my guild fee. I told her to stay where she is living. And made haste to the riverwood trading post only to find my new wife behind the counter of our shop asking how her husbands adventures are doing. I take my profit from the shop take the items off the shelf that now belong to me. And revel in my accopmlishment. Has anyone else done the same?

Taking items off the shelf don't count as stealing? If not, I might have to try this.

Awesome. I mean, ugh, yes, of course I've thought of that... Duh.

Edit: @Romer: Not stealing if he owns the shop!

Now I wonder, do the items replenish themselves after a time?

There were a few items that were still only owned by her such as a few privy potions. But other than that everything else was takeable.

I equipped my dagger. Smiled and severed his spine. Not any room for other men in her life anymore.

I thought she was bugged. How did you ever start her personal quest so you could marry her?

If you marry Ysolda she also "owns" a shop. 100g a day when you talk to her and she acts like a general store who buys everything. How much does the riverwood chick give?

You'll get the 100 gold a day profit no matter who you marry. Even if they don't already have a shop they "open up" an invisible shop. You can sell anything to them and you also get that once a day profit.

Grelka is bugged but I found instructions online to work around it with console commands. The downside is you never get to do her quest.

Spoiler

She's actually boring as a wife, and I can't even command her to have her follow me. Not sure if she is programmed like that or if the console hack broke her.

She's also nasty toward you and develops a sour sarcastic tone with you.

Spoiler
or you can always help that woman in Whiterun find a mammoth tusk then marry her, move her into your home and she says she will open up a little shop to help with funds. Every day I think it accumulates 100 septims. Makes me sad when i walk up to her and she greets me lovingly and I ask for my share of the profits and bail.

This is giving me some serious fantasies. It's too bad that Hagraven Bothela who runs the Hag's Cure in Marakth isn't marriage fodder. That apothecary shop is every aspiring Battlemage, budding Mage and ambitious Apothecary's wet dream.

I wonder what would happen if she were to have an "accident"? Would her assistant Muiri take over the shop and if so, is she marriable? Hmmmm........
