D-pad and Favorites Bugs

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 7:29 pm

Wanted to begin a post on some issues I've been having with the d-pad, since I couldn't find an existing thread.

Problem 1: Quick select buttons (left or right on d-pad) are not "sticking". I can assign a right or left quick-select to a bow (ancient bow) and after using the d-pad shortcut once, I cannot use the d-pad again to equip the bow. For some reason my steel dagger does not suffer from this problem.

Problem 2: it is difficult to tell what will happen when I use a quick select button to bring up a spell--which hand will it apply to? I would suggest this system be altered so that the quick select button modifies BOTH hands. In practice, once an item/ability is assigned to the left d-pad position, it could be labeled 1.L. The next ability or item I assign to the left d-pad position would be labeled 1.R. Then when I press the left d-pad, I get 1.L and 1.R no matter what is currently in my hands. This leaves out a way to assign a hand to be empty/do not change current equipped item/ability. That could be accomplished by holding down the left d-pad on the thing currently assigned to 1.L or 1.R to remove that assignment.

Thanks for a great game! Others can add their experiences/suggestions for the d-pad below.

When you equip a spell equip it using the Right Trigger for Right Hand or the Left Trigger for Left Hand. Same with weapons, equip them using the trigger for what hand you want it in. Keep in mind as well when you switch to a favorite that is one handed what ever was equipped in the other hand will equip with it.

They need to fix this so you can map multiple spells or weapons to the left and right D pads.
It should let us cycle through them, but instead we just get one, they do not stick, (the L and R) just the 1 and 2
