2 part ?: Bug with Breezehome & kids not sleeping, and (

Post » Tue Feb 12, 2013 11:00 am

Has anybody else had problems with their kids being...I do not even know how to describe it..."distracted" (maybe "mesmerized" is more apt...) by that little zone between their bedroom, that cupboard, the stairs, and the dining room table? For example:
  • you give your kid a dagger/wooden sword
  • they go, "thanks!"
  • Then they sprint past you and everything else in their to go beat up their dummy...or so you thought!
  • However, they run to that cupboard, stand about 1.5-2" away from it, and stare at it until someone or something gets their attention
The same thing happens with dolls, I've noticed. There are several places where they do their creepy doll dance (I personally believe that it's part of a ritual with a sacrifice, or maybe a substitute for when they can't really kill someone, to please Baal...) in Breezehome, but the most common one in my experience is between that cupboard and the table. So, you give them a doll, they get happy and go to play with it, and then it gets hold of their mind and body...(that is just one hypothesis...I'm exactly married to it if someone has a better explanation).

I recently adopted Sissel after having Sofie for a few in-game weeks (maybe a month?), and I married Njada right afterward. We lived at Lakeview Manor, Breezehome, and Honeyside, back and forth, but for some reason Sissel just refuses to go to bed. It's beyond annoying. She'll say "yes mom..." and literally just mosey on over to that ACCURSED CUPBOARD! Or she'll stand in the middle of their room, keep saying yes, but never actually going to sleep.

Usually when the kids do this (and in my experience they do it the first day you adopt them and at Breezehome way more than in any other scenario), I'll nudge them or use a few tricks to get them by their bed, and then when I say it's bed time, they go to bed. That girl will not go to bed though.

Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks.

And at Lakeview Manor, Sissel just went to bed on what is apparently an invisible bed right to her regular, visible bed (and FWIW, the foot of the former bed is up against the wall and the pillows are next to the foot of her visible bed...)

I have this bug on the PC in Breezehome. I don't know when it started or what caused it but it appears that the navmesh is broken because the kids can't enter or exit the bedroom. I've gone through my mods and I have nothing that alters Breezehome so I'm really puzzled by it. It used to work fine.

If your kid is stuck and it's after 9:00 PM go outside of Breezehome and come back in. The kids should spawn inside the bedroom and be able to sleep in their beds. During the day if they're stuck in the bedroom you can wait 1 hour or go outside and come back in. These workarounds svck but that's all I can suggest.
