I wonder sometimes if I am the only one who eagerly awaits the Collectors Edition for games I really love. According to ESO's online website, they have told us they will

announce more information as they get closer to the release date, and the game is expected to launch in spring of 2014.

At this point, its late November 2013 and spring is coming up..... where is our announcement about the collectors edition content??? The beginning of spring is a mere 5.5 weeks away......

Does anyone else feel as though we are owed some extra information at this point on the subject?

No, I don't think we're owed any extra information at this point. There is no official definite release date, so we have no idea when exactly the game will be released, or how close we are to it. On the official site, the most recent information:

We have yet to discuss the details around retail distribution of The Elder Scrolls Online, including any plans for special editions of the game. If we do offer a Collector's Edition of ESO, it's something we won't announce until much closer to launch.

No I am referring to the Online game that is supposed to be coming out this next spring. They announced on the official online website that they would tell us more about the contents, but spring is just around the corner with no new information.

It's not unusual for an MMO to have provided details about the collectors edition contents before the games actual launch date is announced. In either case, we should be hearing about both the game's expected launch date, and the CE around the same time, even if they cant tell us an exact cost - although if they have the contents they would be able to tell us the package cost as well.

The site does tell us they are expecting the game to come out in the first quarter - (spring 2014), if that was incorrect, they'll need to update that post within the next month as spring is almost apon us.

In the northern hemisphere spring begins in late March. I don't know in what climate zone it can possibly begin in January, but it certainly isn't the seasonal division used by video game companies.

Regardless of your perceived entitlements, they'll release it when they're ready. Threads like this serve little to no purpose.

The game is not coming out for another 4-5 or 6-9 (have heard both) months, it is way too early to think about CE yet.

5.5 weeks? Months more like, There's a collectors edition for pretty much everything these days so I'm sure ESO will have one too, don't worry.

As has been said before, whatever you've heard, there is no way 9 months fits with the 'Spring 2014' time frame they have indicated. That would put us in August. Spring, at most, is March to June. At this point, unless further delays happen, it cannot be more than 7 months.

Apparently winter is only 10 days long.

Yesh, there is a at least 4 months before release. Announcing the CE contents now won't make it happen faster, or change what anyone will get.

Let them focus on the important stuff - polishing up the game.
