Patch Incoming! Woo hoo

? Balance change to headshot damage from 1.8x to 1.5x

Does this mean the DSG-1 does not ohk to the head? lol
1.5x damage on the DSG1 round should be enough to OHK to the head. Will try and get clarification from QA/UK tomorrow.

No news on Net Code?
There's a sticky asking for feedback regarding recent Network updates :)

I hope that it is just pc news and the console fixes are diff
Some changes carry across all platforms but for the majority the console patches differ quite a lot from the PC patches. As mentioned, as soon as we've got the console list finalised we'll post it up.

Cheers!

Great thanks cry-adam, perty cool to see you on here today too. Looking forward to the pactch info post and this weekend, havent got to play crysis 2 in a week or 2 because it just became so rough to fight some of the issues and still have fun. With the new net code i am thinking itll be better, we shall see and i will put in a assessment opinion on your sticky concerning that subject tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to the 'patch notes' for the console.

I wouldn't get excited until we see what's being addressed on the Xbox - this list is PC orientated.

It's a positive step though,

Thanks Crytek, we just need to Xbox patch notes posted now.

Crytek is starting to change? they said that they would only release patch notes with the patch but now they are doing it before? Its a change for the better!

I hope this patch is good!

I think this is a smart. The more confident you are in the Dev, the more you will play, and then the more referral business they will receive. My friends and I play almost every night, and when we meet a new person online and they do not have the DLC, we tell them to purchase it, so we all can play together.

My other friends are seeing me play this game a lot on my friendslist, so they are wondering why I am not playing COD. If Crytek can show more changes, I will tell them to get the game too.

Such is the power of word of mouth....... and actual experience...... but those fanboys will tell you it isn't happening. 32 players in the U.S all being able to connect to each other in 2 match types is a success to them apparently lol.

What still need to be fixed:

-The friggin and screwed Audio/Music in the Multiplayer Menu (I think my head is going to explode really soon!)
-The GRAIN Bug, that after 2 hours or so appeared again on my TV
-Matchmaking Searches: very often some member of the party will be kicked out, very often in a "Black Screen" and he needs to relaunch the game from the Dashboard or restart the Console
-When some games are found, me and my friends experienced random freezes/crashes of the game (with the chat still going), and sometimes the entire console froze, and we needed to turn it off and restart it (very often on the Map Loading Screen)

The rest is now OK. =)

I have noticed something interesting but it has worked better. Graphics wise when a game firsts loads in MP, it has a almost flat texture no detail look to most all objects and buildings near by, say within 50 meters which it would do before, but now instead of it getting worse like usual, it will gain texture once i get close to the item and then the whole visual experience is maxed out about 5-10 seconds into the game.

Its as if somehow slowing the graphics visualization process instead of forcing a overload of visuals or something has made it much better. Is that what was part of this hotfix here recently, to regulate something to not get a overload of some kind?

Whatever it is keep up the good work!

No mate that just texture steaming, many games do this when loading. The game uses placeholder textures until the streaming kicks in, usually a few seconds after the start of a round.

Ah ok i notice it does it every time, even before the newest hotfix, but before it would get worse not better. Strange i know, i thought my xbox was messed up, but worked it fine for other games. It seems to be vastly better for me if you seen some of my older post about how messed up the game was looking.

the live updates didnt make it have any extra lag for me. There is very rarely any lag now, about the only time really is if its like world war 3 and the ceph gunships are nuking everyone or the oribital beam.

I've not had this happen since Thursday but whenever I got max nano & used the orbital strike whilst in max nano it would kick everyone out & leave me to finish the game.

I get a very few red bar games now.

Could you add respective sensitivity settings for aiming down the sight and free style?

Theres a few games like this but funny enough I've not seen it on any FPS game that i've played. I think it should be added for all shooting games.
