Patch 1.8 PS3 - Request for what it addresses - Gstaff?

Usually when Bethesda releases a patch they identify what it is addressing be it repairs or adding content. There are many of us here who won't buy the DLC until we are certain that the patch addresses the quality issues Bethesda has already acknowledged, and given as the reason for the delay. I intend to load the patch and play the game sans DLC to determine if the frame lag and other engine dentriments like freezes or endless load cycles are addressed.

However, it would help greatly if Bethesda would identify specifically what has been adjusted, repaired, altered, what have you, before expecting us to insert another repair into a game that barely holds together at larger save file sizes despite previous attempts to find a remedy. Please, no more vague statements about "general improvements". Aside from 1.4, the game engine continued to exhibit performance issues unchanged. 1.7 actually made my game regress, which wasn't a good thing.
