Patch 1.07 Reporting Thread

Post » Fri Aug 10, 2012 12:56 am

Just thought it would be worth attempting to have a single place to report experiences people have after patching the PS3 version of Skyrim to 1.07.

Please only post your obsevations after applying the patch to your PS3 version of the game, let's hope it stays that way. :)

I don't think it's out yet. I can't believe I'm actually giving this game another chance. Maybe this time, having had my expectations crushed so low, I'll actually enjoy this mess.

I tried it out on my main character, Utheir the Khajiit Master Assassin, and the mounted combat is decent enough. It's a bit awkward, but I can't think of a game were mounted combat isn't awkward, other than that I haven't run into any new bugs yet.

Could someone with 1.5 check Proudspire Manor. I got crop circles for shadows now and I don't think they were like that before. Are the quality of Shadows worse?

okay so i just tested 1.7 (1.6) and this is what I found

-The framerate on foot seemed to be improved slightly for the most part, even on my 11mb level 51
-The framerate on a horse dips frequently but not enough to make horse combat unusable, just annoying
-For me there is now alot more texture pop-in
-It could be my just trying to notice things but I think the draw distance was reduced
-Water dosen't freeze (thought i'd check) :P
-And the last thing i noticed is that I think loading times have slightly increased. That one will have to be asked around though

And that's what I noticed, of course i just noticed that I forgot to check nirnroot glow but im sure some one else will xD

I just loaded my last save and it was in Proudspire Manor. Looks fine to me.
Actually looks likes the shadows are barely noticeable at all.

Oh wait you said 1.5, I'm on 1.6/1.7, Sorry.

Ok, but, did you reinstall the game and/or make a new save? Maybe starting from scratch (delete Data files and Updates and also make a new save..) can help..

I created new saves for both my characters and I have to admit I did not re-install the game data. I can try that but im relatively happy with this patch. One thing i also forgot to point out is that the framerate (foot/horse) plummets for 1 or 2 sec when entering a new area. Its a drop from around 28fps-10fps but only for a short time. Then its back to normal. I did also wait 24 hours in game before I tested everything.
