Paul Sage interview

Listen to the interview and it may answer a lot of questions about Veteran points, the cash shop arguments and something about new skill lines from undaunted and a little bit about vampires and werewolves.

Exactly how long does that intro music go on for? Because I got impatient and stopped the whole thing to go do something else.

Is there a bulleted summary somewhere I can read?

The entire interview is ... kinda bad

- they spend a huge chunk of time talking about minutiae with regard to "veteran points" or basically your end-game bragging points...

- one guy proceeds to whine and complain that he can't stroll around the entire world, soloing everything and sneaking through end-game dungeons without fighting anything - and instead of saying "NO" to him, Paul proceeds to dance around the question, clearly terrified of saying "No" to anyone.

- They talk about dungeons, but no specific details or relevant information - other than there are 20 of them, and they won't all be accessible unless you're a certain level.

- They talk about the cash shop, and Paul gives the most confusing, contradictory, and convoluted answer... He says there will be "things" in it. When asked whether it would be in-game or out-of-game, he says "I don't know" and then proceeds to say "things" about 500 times.

- They talk about crafting and skill points and skyshards... These guys must not play MMORPGs very much, because the crafting system they're all so "psyched" about is pretty much identical to every MMO crafting system out there. You put points into crafting, your crafted items get better... I'm really confused.

- They talk about Werewolves and Vampires - and Paul says he's not going to tell anyone "how to be a vampire" and that it's meant to be more of a "social feature" than an actual gameplay element. There will be skills associated with vampirism or lycanthropy.... though Paul laughs and says he won't talk about any of them.

- They talk about consoles vs PC versions of the game - Paul says he can't talk about anything because it's "in flux at this point." - he says basically he want the experiences to be the same on all platforms.

Are those 16 dungeons and 6 master dungeons all in your faction?

No, there are 16 dungeons and 6 master dungeons, total, spread throughout all the factions. Remember you will be able to visit all faction zones so you won't be missing out on these dungeons.

I know but that means in order to run those dungeons I have to finish the story of the other factions. that kind of svcks

I wish they said what Veteran Points are for, all we know is that they exist and how to get them.

You need them to equip gear. It's another time sink, so it's not enough to get the best gear you also need to have enough veteran points to equip them.

Thanks for the link. Sounds like a couple of people on this thread are just looking for things to complain about...

It was a good live stream and only one of the people in it knew paul was going to be there so some of the questions and answers are maybe a bit jumbled btu we did get a lot of information from it and clarified the services that will be provided, my favorite so far the veteran points =)

You spend them after level 50 on the rest of the skill lines. They are also needed to equip certain items.
