People demanding more bug fixes

Post » Sat Feb 09, 2013 2:00 am

Am I the only who one has more than one 50 plus hour character who is completely devoid of bugs. I keep hearing people say they would rather have bug fixes than dlc's but I'm only aware of a small number of major bugs still out there and I am using major very loosely.

You only have to look at other forums, issues on this forum, and all the patches released so far to realize how many problems there have been. There are still problems.

I haven't had many bugs in my games. I've seen a few Mammoths fall from the skies and Giant's clubs rise slowly off the ground. I've even been able to do the Blood on the Ice quest. But that doesn't mean bugs don't happen in other people's games. Software is as temperamental as human beings themselves. Sometimes software behaves and sometimes it acts up. There's no telling when it will happen or under what circumstances.

I am referring to unpatched bugs. Also it sems like a lot of the current bugs are easily avoided if you have played a lot of bethesda games and use some common sense. If something looks to be part of a quest but you haven't started that quest don't mess with it etc.

little things like floating weapons etc. don't bother I am just skeptical of those who claim the game is extremely broken or has become unplayable etc.

Never had major bugs in this game, even before I started using mods.

You what? Common sense?

That has fluff all to do with it half the time. I suppose dragons were flying backwards because i didn't use my common sense ,eh?
I suppose quick reflexes didn't work because i have no common sense ,eh?

I could go on all week.

Yes, you're one of very few people who haven't experienced any bugs. It doesn't meant that bugs don't exist.

Keep in mind that almost all PC players on this forum are using the unofficial patch, so bug reports are now less frequent than they used to be. However, if you take a look at the list of bugs fixed in USKP, you'll realize how bug-ridden Skyrim is.

I suggest you visit Solitude and pick up Roggvir's amulet before talking to Svari. Guaranteed bug at the end of the quest. You could also try to collect every book you find in chests in dungeons, one of them will surely turn out to be a quest item you won't be able to return to the questgiver.

If I go to a dungeon and find a book, why on Nirn would it be common sense not to pick it up? Have you ever done Blood on Ice? This quest is so bug-ridden that virtually all of us have at least one character who's never been able to complete it. Can we fix Quick Reflexes with common sense?

REL_Dovahkin I made a thread semi directed at you, do you have any bad bugs?

Figured I'd just respond here.

Outside of a handful of quests not starting right (Blood on the Ice [still], Repairing the White Phial, Fetch Me That Book etc) or restarting improperly and killing NPCs (these are radiant quests), and the massive save bloat problem that comes from weapons/shields the enemy drops never clearing up or ash piles not disappearing like they should, the occasional lags or freezes and some overly long loading times, I can't say I have many largebugs.

What I have instead, is seemingly hundreds of small bugs that continue to pile up and stare me in the face whenever I play this game. The TG is all kinds of screwed up in this regard, and there are lots of basic problems like quest items being impossible to get out of my inventory, characters not going where they should or not recognizing certain things, weapons not upgrading correctly, and of course Alduin deciding to just fly about instead of actually starting the game properly.
