Not sure if it helped, but i turned away from the door when i placed the grinder on it. I only turned back when the door was completely open.

If this helps others too, maybe the crash (at least at the grinding parts) has to do with particles?

Mine kept crashing as soon as the door was completely open, but turning away helped me. Tried it 4 times, and all 4 worked.
