On two of my main characters, I don't use magic either, although I'm not above using the dragon shouts.

I've always used some sort of magic/assassin mixture with my Oblivion guys, but this time I actually made a full on magic guy, and a separate full on stealth/assassin guy. My magic is only used to heal myself after I've taken damage.

My ranger-assassin has yet to use magic (spells) or shouts. Although, he does make liberal use of alchemy and enchantments. :batman:

As if magicka regen weren't completely broken during combat. You're a true warrior if you play as a caster.

i cant just not use magic. i find the game very boring without it. my first playthrough is a thief character who only uses restoration and dragonshouts. main reason i use restoration is to save inventory space, because i dont need as many health potions. when i find a feather, and chameleon spell, i'll start using alteration and illusion. i only ever use magic that suits my character. for warriors i only use alteration and restoration. playing a non magic user is just too boring, if i ever start one i'll end up making him a werewolf or vampire as soon as possible.

Stupid idea

Magic adds stratergy. If you just wanna hack and slach spamming one button why buy Skyrim. Get Dead island or summat.

it would grieve you to know there does not exist feather or chameleon spells in skyrim

Anybody that claims combat without magic lacks tactics has never played a True Warrior.

A True Warrior is not just some guy with a big sword.

The Bow, The Ax, The Blade, The Mace, The Hammer, The Shield, all of these and more are the Tools of a True Warrior.

The only Weapon of a True Warrior is Tactics.

A stealthy approach and a well hidden area to observe your enemy. Take out the sentries with the bow. Move to a new position before the enemy can organize a counter offensive. Close the distance in stealth, and initiate your offense with a few arrows. When the enemies near, draw your swift blade a cut down the weak and lowly rabble that makes up the bulk of their forces. Switch to the Mace to crush those enemies that would hide encased in a wall of steel, and pull the Ax to chop down to tougher enemies. Make sure you use your shield to protect yourself.

The True Warrior needs not magic because magic what those weak of body and slow of mind use in place of the True Weapon, Tactics.

Level 22, Nord. So far specializing in two handed weapons and Heavy armor, with a decent amount of sneak, lockpicking, archery, alchemy and blacksmithing thrown in lol. Typical method is to go into a dungeon, creep around, pick off whoever I can with my bow, bash my Skyforge Steel Greatsword through the skull when they find me, and repeat until clear. To be honest I do use the healing spell once in awhile when I'm low on potions but that's pretty much the extent of my magic.

I play with melee weapons only, but I use shouts. I"ve never used a spell. I plan to have many alts though after I play through the main quest and Companions quest with this guy.

Same here, eventhough my skin is light and i do not really hate the regular practisioners 'o the magic arts, just necromancers and likely conjurers!

It's a game were many different play styles are possible. In fact this game is very hard on people who don't play hack n' slash and don't beef up there weapon and armor skills while ignoring everything else.

Magic users are a pain in the ass if you charge towards them head down. At least a convincing effort has been made to give more power to offensive spell. However, armor impairing magica regeneration is a bit absurd so I decided not to use ever any form of magic for my first character.

When I meet a magic user, I hide behind a solid object, wait for them to deplete magica, and then rush at them. Alternatively, hiding in shadows to land a couple of arrows in their back is equally rewarding.
