Peoples opinions on ESO so far

Post » Mon Aug 26, 2013 11:45 am

Okay I was curious some peoples opinion on the game so far, like how's it shaping up since last gameplay footage they released Or was it better Quake-con Then E3 .

I currently think is shaping up quite nicely, From playing at E3 and than at Quake-con and a lot of changes has happened at the most of them for better.

So if you played at quake-con,E3 or any community event, ( If you are in Beto please do not break NDA) Please put your opinions below, And if you have not played at these events put your opinion anyways on the Information that is out.

I said this in another thread, but it bares repeating, IMHO.

I've played TES from the beginning. Arena through Skyrim.

I have played about 4 hours of ESO at Quakecon. 4 hours means almost nothing when talking about an MMO, but 4 hours is a good time to judge a TES game. I promise you, it looked like TES, played like TES and felt like TES. I was over the moon with happiness that it did not feel like an MMO.

I for one will play ESO from the start. I can only hope you guys don't miss out on a game this good.

At minimum, get in the open beta and try it for yourself. You will not be let down.

I wasn't all too impressed from the footage shown at QuakeCon; however that was merely a fairly standard mmo group raid and no matter what you think of the leaked footage and the QuakeCon footage, I'd really trust the word of a die hard fan that's played it, like Quazar.

Afterall, some games don't look too appealing while watching but are loads of fun when playing. :user:

Haven't played it, but I have followed the development relentlessly... It looks bloody awesome in all ways shapes and forms and I am playing it at launch for sure... I am concerned there wont be many encounters that requires a group to work together, instead of a FFA kill em all… has anyone actually played it and been involved in any grouping?? If there are 2 players on 1 mob of an equal / higher level is it dead by the time you get your 2nd swing of the sword / spell / arrow away??

My enthusiasm has recently declined, I haven't played it and I don't think I will play it until perhaps a year or so after release, when either the PS4 or X1 is cheaper, and when there's more games out for those systems, and when those games are cheaper too, and by then TESO itself may be cheaper as well. I'm in no rush for it at the moment, as although it looks good, I was a little blinded and over-hyped previously.

When I played at Quake- con mod's did a insane amount of damage, And when I group with the guy sitting beside me, mod's have more health I don't know if that's a glitch or mega server Being smart.

I can break the creatures down for you if you like. Keep in mind that there are three basic attacks. Quick, medium and strong. So, this is not an exact science. I used a combat staff. All magic attacks. :)

Mud crab = 4 Strong hits

Wolf = 5 strong hits

Deer = 1 strong hit

Rabbit = 1 any hit

Giant bat creature = over 10 strong hits.

Average bad guy = 8 strong hits

There were a lot more creatures. That was off the top of my head. Keep in mind, this means very little. 8 more months before launch. Who knows, there might be killer deer by that time. :D
