Performance on Enthusiast Systems

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 5:17 pm

My settings are in my signature with the exception that I am not running in eyefinity. I am currently running 1920x1080. The FPS of this game, detected by running fraps, stays under 40. Is anyone else on high end systems having such terrible performance was well? I get 85fps in battlefield 3 beta with settings all on ultra, and the graphics in that are so fastly superior to rage.

that's my setup, thats with 2x5870's and a 4.5ghz CPU....

I got like 20-30 fps before I changed drivers to the new ones, and then I got all sorts of artifacting, I got 80+ FPS on BF3.

My system is not as good as yours but yes, i'm also getting terrible frame rates where i should be getting 60fps easy.

I have a GTX 590, 3.6Ghz Core i7 975 EE, 12GB Ram

While the game looks 'artistically' pretty while staying still, I do experience
- A lot of tearing while moving 1920x1080, reduces after setting VSync in nvidia control panel
- Aiming problems, mostly due to above
- Turning around shows texture being loaded, but not nearly as bad as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5oEdfT4OWY I only see minimal
- Some artifacting on settings screen, a flickering line across
- Some dark areas look "greenish" but unsure if this is my monitor / color profile or as designed, will try on another monitor
- A system crash soon after I exit the game
- Terrible mouse lag on inventory screen

I am on 285.38 as per Carmack's suggestion

I'm hitting maybe 40-45 FPS, at best. I've got a 5970 and I really thought I'd be doing better. Lots of weird graphical glitches too.

I7 2600k @3.8ghz
8gb ram @ 1600
x2 5870 Crossfire'd

40fps max and getting a lot of strobing NPCs (at about 20-30hz) gives me an instant Headache
(in Both Crossfire and Crossfire Disabled Modes)

i7 2600k @ 5ghz
480 GTX in 3 way SLI
16GB of ram
over 2 TB hard drive space
Windows 7 64bit

cant even get above 45FPS @ 640x480.............. much less over 10FPS @ 2560x1600.

I think if the game ran any slower it would go in reverse..... maybe even if i could speed it up some it would STOP.

Forcing vsync and triple buffering in nvidia control panel fixed tons of tearing, works very smoothly now.
Also increased FOV to 95
