And you only pay 50 gold for them IF your cut.

some horses are free for the taking, and bear no penalty for being "stolen". a good example is when you raid a fort as a member of the Legion/Stormcloaks; after you have successfully taken the fort, you can take any of the horses that happen to be wandering around.

Those hunters have horses. I got a hunters horse now. I also did something I never usually do because I play a good character but I killed the hunter too.

Stealing horses is the way to go!

I wasted 1k on a horse with my first character. Until they fix horses I'm not wasting my money on them

stealing a horse: 50 gorl, IF you get caught.

Buying a horse: 1000 gold, and it usually dies or disappears in 5 minutes anyways

Jumping a horse on the back of a dragon: priceless

I see no reason whatsoever for purchasing a horse in Skyrim when there are so many there ripe for the taking/stealing.

I've stolen nine horses so far and haven't had any fines yet, of course all the owners of those horses were laying dead at my feet when I took them . BTW I am also guilty of six murders...one of them was actually an accident.

I beat the crap out of the Stabler outside of Riften and now he lets me take horses for free, seems like a good deal to me.

That is manslaughter, my friend

I http://sadhillnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/tesla-vw-prius-toyota-car-crash-sad-hill-news.jpg to differ.

GRAMMAR NAZIS, UNITE!

Edit: On a less spam-ridden note, another plus to stealing horses is you don't have to  when they join in a dragon fight.

I love killing them. The sound they make is worth it. Plus the bones cracking from falling off heights.

In the old West in the US you would be hanged for being a horse thief. Not here!

I found plenty of horses in the wilderness and they don't count as stolen.

:hehe: And I'm not even a member of the DB. Oddly enough, it doesn't quite fit in with my RP, but then neither does the Thieve's Guild, but I'm doing that one anyway. My character usually kills for personal reasons (including revenge), but not for business.

Only problem is they run off when you get off. so if you were planning on taking 2000 pounds of loot from that dwarven ruin and hopping on your horse then you're gonna be mighty surprised when you come out and find your horse gone :D
