Perks After Level 50?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 2:23 am

Some people say you can no longer get perks after level 50. Some people say you can. Frankly, I don't really need them, as at the build I have planned will be "done" at level 49. I'll actually have one leftover perk that I probably won't use - unless I keep getting perks after level 50. I know that's hours upon hours away, but can anybody comment on this? Where did the claim that you would no longer receive perks after 50 come from?

The 'soft cap' due to skill levels is around level 70 and you get perks all the way.

Yes you do, don't confuse the guy. You get a perk every time you level up and the level cap was said to be around 70, only leveling past 50 becomes extremely slow.

Is this confirmed? Can I possibly get a link?

Alright. I'll keep following my build plan and just save perks after 50 until I have enough to do something with them. Also, do you have any idea how training works in this game? Will you only be able to pay for training a certain number of times per level, like in Oblivion, or can you train as much as you can afford like in Morrowind?

Can we respec or not?
I know sounds far out but someone like an archmage should be able to wash you in something to make you new again.

No. For one thing you wouldn't be able to afford most perks in skills you hadn't increased.

As long as you can keep leveling you can get more perks. But that will involve using every single skill and raising them all to 100.

If you were to max out you would be able to get about 1/3 of the perks. Should be able to get most for one of the three "archtype" builds. Thief,Warrior,Mage.

Haven't heard any confirms on "respec"

The 'soft cap' is actually level 50. That is the level that game content is designed to, and was also the level we originally would stop getting perks. The changed that rule though so now we still get perks whenever we level, however, '50' is the highest level content has been designed to.

Pretty much; I think I'll get above 50 but under 60/65..

Should be more than enough for me though.

That's because it gets exponentially slower, not because 50 is a specific number, but 50 is the "Guessed" cap that an average, non-dedicated, and ordinary player will rich when playing a normal game of Skyrim, and nothing else.
