Persistant Glitch: Chem Addiction uncurable!

Post » Sun Dec 05, 2010 4:18 pm

Hi!

I just wanted to post the bugs i am getting on my 2nd playthrough since losing my progress on the 1st due to savegame corruption-

I have noticed on both my playthroughs that if i become addicted to a Chem, even with a Doctor's treatment (like Doc Mitchell in goodsprings) i am still addicted an have the corresponding stat decreases..

the only way to fix it is to reload an earlier save..

( i am aware there are 2 options to heal at a doctor, physical and chem addiction- they both cost 50 caps)

just wanted to post this so Obsidian realizes it is a persistant bug!

hopefully it will be addressed soon!

I have heard of other people having this problem. Of course along with almost every bug in the game the only fix is waiting for Obsidian to patch it. Good job on posting it because we need as many bugs and glitches posted as possible so Obsidian knows what to fix. I never experienced this bug because I never got addicted to anything.

Using my superhuman brain capabilities to see back in the past I can see exactly what happened when they started doing play-testing.
I see...
A bunch of fat people waddling around rushing a game because they want cake and they can't have any until the game is done. Now I see a bunch of fat people sitting on bean bag chairs with an xbox sitting idly at the main menu for eight hours while they turn the channel to Beavis and Butthead and eat hot pockets.

Says the guy who is registered on the same forum with all of the alleged "fat people".

Having played this game, I now have a new-found appreciation for games that actually 'work.'

I picked up a few titles and played some old ones while I was waiting (a long time) for the comprehensive patch. I'm serious when I say that I was genuinely MORE pleased with those games than the first time playing them simply because they worked as designed.

Amazing.
