What does that image make you feel? it horrifies me.

I assume it's part of their treatment. If that spray was really that bad, in any developed nation that would be banned.

If not, we'd all be dead.

The pesticide has time to be washed off by rain or sprinklers, evaporated by the sun, etc. Also, most farmers / companies wash their foods before they are shipped out. Then even most customers wash them. So I don't think its as bad as that. Also, It is consentraded comming out of the hose, after it mixes with the air and is diluted by the aformentioned water, its probably not as bad. Also what TESFanner said. There are very strict regulations in place. So I'm not worried...

Me too. It makes me feel like someone wants to make a killing selling "safer" organic food by targeting alarmist svckers.

I hate such propagandas against: pesticides, GM food, vaccines, and other science advances("OMG Big Brother!!") etc. Usually it is from religious zealots. The worst thing, there are people who fall for such propagandas, without trying to think for themselves.

That food gets thoroughly cleaned before it hits your plate. Pesticides have very, very strict regulations in developed nations.
