Reason I ask is because I want to bring Meeko or Vigilance home, but I'm afraid if there is an attack on the house they will die. (I hate having animals as companions because of this fear.)

So if a Giant attacks (For example) and Meeko or Vigiliance is outside, will they attempt to attack the Giant or will they go inside.

Which brings me to my second question, will these pets stay inside? Or will they alternate?
