Pickpocket perk question

Is the poisoning perk in the pickpocket tree worth it? FWIW, my build is a stealth first character. I am an assassin, and have focused on the stealth and pickpocket trees first, then light armor/one-handed tree second.

Can these poisons kill the person instantly or do you need high alchemy skill and poisons to do so? I would most like to use this perk in town as it seems the most useful there...but maybe I am wrong. I would never use this out in the wilds or in a cave or something, as I'd simply sneak up and assassinate the enemy.

You can 1-shot kill every enemy with a dagger if you get close enough to pick-pocket them. And even if you want to paraylyze an opponent, coating your dagger with a paralytic poison is enough to kill.

However, it's a fun perk to use. Much more fun to be a sneak, no weapon, + alchemy and pickpocket character than a regular sneak. But in terms of min/max, no, not worth it.
