Pickpocketing.

How cool would this have been if it was some kind of mini-game like lock picking is? I just don't like the fact that pickpocketing is completely up to random chance, I wish that the player had some kind of, for lack of a better term, hand in it. Pun not intentionally intended, ha.

Hey - that's a great idea! I hate the fact that pickpocketing is up to a roll of the dice. I had this problem in Oblivion too - to the point where I end up saving the game before I try and pickpocket someone. I hope something like this gets added in the future. Pickpocketing kinda svcks otherwise.

I never really used it but that does sound like a good idea. For me there really isn't a good reason to pickpocket. There should definitely be some random quest that is like hety I need you to take this item from this person and it could be anywhere from their home to their pocket

Pickpocketing is probably the best way to make money. At least early in the game.

If you join the thieves guild aren't there an infinite number of these types of quests?

It is a good idea. One that has probably been considered by Bethesda, but how would the mini game work? That is where the problen is.

How about an arrow that moves left and right and you have to keep it in the center of the screen, depending on your skill the "safe zone" becomes bigger.

On the screen, the camera should zoom in to your hand inside someone's pocket. It should start at the top of the pocket, jacket or whatever and not be fully in there.

You should use the left anolog stick to lower your hand further into their pocket and the right anolog stick to move it ever so slightly to the left or the right. You will know that you're about to get caught by the rumbling of the controller. The harder the rumbling, the greater chance that you'll get caught. That's my basic idea. Of course there could be many more factors, but something like this I think would be rather fun and make pickpocketing and thievery much more user-friendly and fun to do.

Interesting idea, but I think people would want to be able to do it the automatic way as well. A bit like OB's lockpicking because in skyrim picking locks manually gets very tedious.

I never had a problem with money even early on in the gome so there is no need for me to resort to thievery.

Oh I never fully joined the thieves guild. Only did the first quest. But I did the quest where you can steal the ale for the beggar in Whiterun and wish there was more quest like this without having to join a faction.

Everything in MW was a roll of the dice and so many ppl seem to think it was better (i am not one of them). I am fine with PP and i find it to be a fun way to play the game

Yeah, I think that sounds like a cool idea. Only thing I'd be thinking is... would you have to do the mini-game per item or just to get into their pocket?

It'd fit in nicely with the lockpicking mini-game, too.
