Well it's not just the game that needs addressing, it's the servers too. At the moment server admins have an extremely limited config to play with. We can't kick players or change maps, all we can do is turn the server on\off and change a few minor things such as allow perks, dog tags and allow only headshots etc. Gameservers.com say they are working on rcon commands from Crysis 1 and looking to see what is relevant with Crysis 2 and will at some point give us more rcon commands and possibly a rcon tool to admin the server with should become available. There are also bugs in the server files at the moment regarding ranked matches. I have added my server to Gametracker to get the server banner etc and when I look at the list of other Crysis 2 servers that are also on Gametracker, they all say 0\16 players. I have not seen more than 1 person on them at a time, I had 1 player on mine last night; I thought to myself 'I hope he's enjoying himself' lol.
My game hasn't arrived yet so I can't test my server myself. But I think it's going to be April when things start looking a bit more smoother in the Multiplayer scenario.
The whole shabang boils down to one question: Why wasn't it all sorted out before? Multiplayer games are more complex these days, we need lengthy Beta testing of client and server files to get things right before the full game goes on the shop shelf with "Super Maximum-Wallet-Draining Editions including authentic plastic life size replicas of a THX1138 Battle Cruiser."
So yea my bets are on the 'no it won't be ready till after the weekend' lol
