Placeable Items

Post » Mon Dec 27, 2010 7:57 pm

there shold be items you can use to fortify places such as bedrolls tables auto gun turrets tents and makeshift walls they could be put down like landmines but instead of blowing up they can be broken let me know what all you think

P.S. I know this could be put in the "what do you want in FNV" but i think that just crowds peoples ideas so they don't get a proper chance

Don't think that gonna fly with the Mods.

Any who, I like the wall idea but not so much the turret. Would it have ammo and do have to supply it with some or does it fire infinitly until it is destroyed?

EDIT: stupid quote feature

I believe he's talkin about fortifying stuff, i.e. find some abandoned building and fortify it with walls, gun turrets, and other such things. You know, make yourself a little base in the middle of the wasteland.

Edit: wrong quote, there was someone asking what he was talking about a minute ago...

its basically just like the ones from Fallout 3 but i guess that could be good i just dont know how you would moniter the ammo unless you could put down a terminal with it

I'm sorry to be the dike of the day
but in all honesty I don't believe something like that would be implemented into the game.

The only way I would see something like that being of value is during some sort of Defender mission (i.e. trying to hold a base)
but in any other given situation I don't think it would really work.
It's not as if your character has to pick a spot in the wastes to camp and defend it from waves of enemies.
Your most likely going to be moving around constantly rather than sitting in a spot waiting for enemies to respawn.

But remember thats just my opinion so don't let me get ya down :)

For many, it's just kinda fun to build something out in the middle of the wasteland like that. And idk maybe you could activate something in order for waves of enemies to come attack you

It would just be interesting, and mods like this have been made for FO3, but it's like whateva...

i just thin k it would add to the replay value and they could put in some defender missions like a city of ghouls of extracting NCR troops from a spot where Ceasars legion are attacking

There is a game with great defender missions it's Fallout Tactics.

Building walls is pointless and why have auto turrets? Would svck to return to you're home on the strip and find everyone gunned down. I want to defend towns and settlements but I don't want to have to build walls. Just give me some mines and a .50 cal machine gun :gun:

I've always thought it'd be nice if you could set up you're own camp site, with a small bed roll or something to sleep on. Of course you could only set it up in safe areas with no enemies around.
