Hi! I'm trying to think of what race I will pick - I am currently leaning towards a Redguard, as that is what I randomly picked for Oblivion, but i am trying to think if the desert is the kind of place I would have fun levelling, and not the snow topped peaks of Skyrim or the deep woods of Valenwood, so I am here to meet people who would be willing to level with me ( I am aware you must do the main campaign solo ).

Please state what race you are going, or faction - And try and tell me why that would be the best for me! :)

Feel free to comment.

Well you won't like where I will be starting at launch then, as I will be a Nord in Skyrim. It is my race of choice dating back to the first ES game I played, Arena, so changing that now would just seem wrong somehow.

Having said that if I get into beta most likely I will be choosing a race in Daggerfall Covenant so that the Nord Storyline is still new and fresh to me at launch...

I have to admit Nords are always going to be the ones I like - But the fact that Ebonheart packed may be swarmed is a little off putting, but knowing me, Since I was Human in WoW, I may become a Nord - However Redguard is probably my most used Race.

Whoevr you find here to level with you has a big chance of not being there with you when the game launches, there is still a long way to go, and there is no garantee that the people who contact you will like you, nor that you will like them Your best bet is to join a solid guild for your faction and make friends, it is much easier to find like minded people inside a community. Then you will always have someone to level up with and do the content in the game.

Well swell as finding someone to level with, I was also looking for someone to tell me why I should pick some faction / race,

I do want to create a group or some groups within my guild that level together as much as possible, because I want to be able to roll with a group that knows the skill synergies like they are second nature so that when we go to war in Cyrodiil we as a group just like a Seal team that functions as a unit and becomes a very devastating force to be reckoned with. However I most likely won't organize anything like this until the game starts or closer to it, maybe in beta as well so that we get an early start on skill synergy uses in PvP.

The Beta isn't a free play thing, they give you something to look at you write a review, E.G, You may be asked to create a bunch of characters, or do lots of run throughs on one quest - they on't let you just run out and do a campaign,

Yeah, but any decent developer does not stop players from creating guilds and testing that part of the content as well. I am currently in an Alpha test for different MMO, can't say which one NDA, and in that game we have a guild for alpha testers to join and discuss problems, possible fixes, etc and the developer fully supports these activities. Yes I know all about how foucused testing is now days compared to back when I beta tested Ultima Online however you are still allowed to test ALL aspects of the game reguardless of the tests focus.

True, but aren't the guilds just bug reporting ones? If so I guess that's the best method.
