gonna try and get a stint in tonight on the PC if I don't get sidetracted taking pics haha. Played for about 2 hours yesterday. got to Fort Dawnguard and offered to help them. quit last night while traveling to the stendarr hall of the vigilent.

Problem free I take it? so far for me too. Had an issue I'll blame on 1.7 update since many have complained about it.

Good to see the PC players getting the DLC finally and enjoying it! Glad you like Dawnguard so far! I also love that quest you're referring too. The ending of the quest is pretty cool.

I really liked it too, just wait till the mods start rolling out. I play on Xbox and cannot wait to see what the mods will be like, and then there's the screen shots  :woot: Not quite an expansion but one kick ass DLC in my books

Oh poop.......

Just ran into a bug.

On the main quest - I got to the point where I meet up with the Vamp boss dude. He offers me the chance to join his 'kool kids klub' and I decline. He kicks me outta his house, and my next quest is to go back to the dawnguard guys and tell them what I've discovered.
I get to the dawnguard frat house. As I walk towards it, they're in a fight with some bloodsvckers. They stomp them. As I get closer, though, THEY ATTACK ME!!!!!

I'm stuck! I can't report in to the DG guys because they attack for no reason! I haven't done ANYTHING offensive against them.

If anyone knows what the problem is, please tell me. :-(

I played about 5 hours yesterday. And I think its awesome. I took the Dawnguard side. Made some new weapons with dragon bones. Got myself legendary Dawnguard heavy armor. ( I really like the new helmet). Taking it slow. I forgot how good Skyrim was. Good work Bethsheda!

Glad 2 hear your liking the game so far. Lucky! Sadly I can only sit back and wait.

For some reason Im happy 4 the pc players instead of jealous.... Guess It's because they've went through almost as much BS as we ps3 users have.... And I use the term "almost" very, very loosely. Still, drain a couple DG's 4 me ??.

So you do a thread about how awesome it is and you've hardly touched it? Sounds like most reviewers before skyrim came out.
Did you fire a crossbow and get super excited?

I thought dawnguard was absolute rubbish.

If you are enjoying at the moment, good,i'm happy for you. But to say it's awesome before you've actually touched it properly.....i question that.

I too got to play for a few hours last night. Had my first vampire attack in Whiterun. I had slept, walked out of the main gate when everyone went crazy. I ran up to the top of one of the watchtowers with my bow in hand and there we're about a dozen people wailing on a vampire. At first I wasn't sure what was going on but eventually I let a daedric arrow lose and killed the attacker. When I got to the body it was a vampire.

Oh, I also found that having mods that add people to the world help in alleviating townsfolk from being killed. I have both adventurers and travelers of Skyrim as well as Skyrim at War installed. Their are roving soldiers and a lot of random people wandering around. So, when vampires spawn they tend to attack and kill NPCs that respawn. Of course, I've only had one vampire attack so it might not actually happen that way. I'll find out today.

Hmmmm... I am glad you think it's good, I too was wowed by it.

Do you have a high bounty or anything? Not that it should matter there.... How about waiting in game for the usual 3 days....

I do hope it gets sorted out, I think the DLC Is a pretty good one, all thinks considered.

Did you contract vampireism? If you have the slightest hint of the disease they will turn on you, even if you drank a cure disease potion or prayed at a shrine, they still know you had it and will attack you on sight. If you haven't cured it yet then I suggest you do and once you have wait ( outside the Dawnguard valley ) for at least a day then return, they should be friendly towards you again once you have taken care of the vampireism and you avoid them for a day. This has happened to me several times, and it took several reloads until I finally figured it out

Its known that there is a bug where the dawnguard attacks you if you have a bounty on your head somewhere.

No bugs, no problems in my game at all. I like the story line so far and it awesome.

Some people make sure you have 1.7 patch installed before installing Dawnguard. If you have several mods you might run into a problem with a conflict of new locations with the mod.
