Playing any older games?

Post » Sun Jul 15, 2012 6:31 pm

Who here is playing games from a few years back? Have you purchased a game you previously owned just to play it again?

I bought Red Dead Redemption GOTY and Deus Ex: Human Revolution yesterday because I remember playing them and they were a few of my favorite games I have come across in quite some time.

I play more old games than new. Either replaying something for the hundredth time or digging up oldies I never got the chance to play the first time around.

Right now I'm replaying the whole Kingdom Hearts series (not terribly old) before Kingdom Hearts 3D releases at the end of the month. I'll also be moving soon, which means all the consoles and PC are out of commission, so I'm planning on starting a game of Pokemon Yellow to keep me busy.

Haven't played any old games recently. I know I should clean out my decades old back log but I am too lazy or dead on the inside.

Almost my entire Steam backlog is a couple years or more old. Probably the oldest game that I spend time with is Arcanum though.

I'm trying to play Rome : Total War atm but haven't a clue what I'm doing :D

It's my first Total War, so I guess I'm excused.

I was just playing http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Mystic_Square a few minutes ago. And while not terribly old, I'm also playing through Okami.

Same here. Nothing like digging out the old favorites and reliving those memories.

I've actually been really in to Morrowind, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings recently. All excellent games--I'd recommend them to anyone.

Deus ex: Human revolution is around 1 or 2 years ago, RDR is about 2-4 years ago. Neither of them are old.

By the way the OP is talking yeah I have been playing some Skyrim.

But I really have been meaning to reinstall the original Deus Ex.

Deus Ex Human Revolution isnt even a year old yet. It came out August 2011.

I've put about 25 hours into Morrowind this week. Ever since I found out that Quicksave doesn't cause CTDs I've been having a blast.
