Playing Skyrim On Second Monitor

Post » Fri Nov 23, 2012 11:53 pm

Just installed Skyrim thru Steam on my computer. It runs well on my first monitor (the older one, HP w2408h, with a 1920x1200 native resolution). However, I'd prefer to play it on my second monitor (a new one, HP 2511x, with a 1920x1080 native resolution because the colors seem more vibrant). I have an ATI Radeon HD 5800 series video card with Catalyst Control Panel installed - everything up to date.

How can I get Skyrim to start, preferably "full screen" on my second monitor instead of my first monitor?

You can make it windowed and turn off the borders. There's a wrapper that does just that somewhere, simple borderless windowed something or other. Not sure on this, but there may be an option in the CCC to set whether or not to use a single monitor or both. It may not, but it might. The former is the more likely option, though.

You have to make the second monitor your primary monitor. You can do this with a drag and drop in the monitor properties, you don't have to move them on the desk or connection.

Also, have you tried calibrating the other monitor? There are websites, but for color, it is best to use a filter like in this kit
