Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale

Anyone looking forward to this game?

The Beta is up as of today for PS+ members. There are two stages and you can play as Kratos, Sly Cooper, Parrapa The Rappa, Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, and Radec.

Personaly I find the roster to be pretty disappointing. I understand getting that rights to use all of the characters may not be as easy as Nintendo but the list is still baffeling. The levels are about the same size as the smaller levels from the Smash Bros. series but with plenty of dangers added to them to ramp up the chaos. The gameplay is fun but I honestly can't see it beating Super Smash Bros. quality wise.

Kratos was by far my favorite character and thats mostly becuse he seems far better than the other options. His attacks are fast strong and wide ranged.

Kratos served me well in Mortal Kombat as well, so yeah, he's probably my favourite by default. Though Raiden and Dante sound good too. (Speaking which, we're talking MGS Raiden, right?)

I think the roster isn't too bad, really. Though Snake would have been cool, and as they suggested, an FF character too.

i'll be using Jak and Daxter. Jak 3 is one of my favourite games
edit: plus, you can use his Light and Dark forms. i wonder how some of his powers (like the Light ability to slow time) will work

I don't know about it being GOTY, but I'll likely pick it up. It'll make a fun party game akin to SSB.

Should have added Rau for instant badass. Mark of Kri is still a very good game to this day, a little short though.

These type of games rarely tend to win game of the year.

I saw this All-Stars on X-Play a while back and it looks really fun. From what I saw it looks like some of the characters might be overpowered compared to some of the others.

My girlfriend has a PS3 and we still haven't used it since we moved so maybe with this game we'll bust it out.
