"Please Check Network Connectivity" - Log in problem

Post » Wed Jun 22, 2011 6:27 am

Unfortunately I don't have control over the firewall settings as I'm at an academic institution. I don't have control over the router either for that reason. Not sure how to check the strictness of my NAT...

Since you are in a campus ( i guess ), you have to talk with some IT guy and ask him to open ports and check the firewall.

More or less a campus - the whole town's the university really. I'll try getting in touch with IT. Do you happen to know which ports are necessary?

TCP: 80, 64100, 6667, 29900, 2990, 2891
UDP: 27900, 27901, 64100

As IT anolist, I'm pretty sure they'll ask "why should we open/forward this ports?". Or just ask him to put it in DMZ state.

Today it's working for me, no ports forwarded. It's their fault, not client side.

This has been quite obvious for some time, though getting them to admit anything about it has as always been impossible.

Burying your heads in the sand and hoping that you can ignore us is a dumb move Crytek. Give us information not silence.

Well they unblocked some of the ports but unfortunately some of the higher ones can't be changed. I can now log in but I can't find/join any games. Looks like I'm out of luck!

I'm quite aware that EA posted about this on their support pages, but as I said Crytek just buried their heads in the sand and never mentioned it or made any notice about it here or in the known issues thread. ;)

The computer officer at my college has opened some of the ports but higher ports are controlled by the federal university and can't be opened apparently.

I can get in to the multiplayer section I just can't play it. Are you sure there aren't any more ports that need forwarding? Thanks for the help by the way.

Nope. There's no more ports. Most of them is for Gamespy.

guys i try something, i dont know if it works all of you but...

in first place by default i have "system.cfg" in root folder with this inside:

; crysis2

sys_game_folder=GameCrysis2
sys_dll_game=CryGameCrysis2.dll
sys_user_folder=Crysis2

r_ShaderCompilerServer=192.168.2.179;192.168.2.179

log_IncludeTime = 1
sys_languages = "english,russian,polish,italian,czech"

log_verbosity = 0

r_displayInfo = 1

sys_PakLogInvalidFileAccess=0
sys_float_exceptions=0

g_language =

for some reason if i change local ip it write here:

r_ShaderCompilerServer=192.168.2.179;192.168.2.179

i copy this command into the "autoexec.cfg" AND now i take disconnects all the time, i cant even log in!
SO i delete this command from both files "autoexec.cfg" and "system.cfg", now i can play online without disconnects, please try it and give feedback to this thread. for me it works.

I find it :D
I found solution
Go to your main foldder ( ex. C:Crysis 2) and find file called system.cfg now look at this : r_ShaderCompilerServer=192.168.2.179;192.168.2.179 thats the correct adress try it . May it work :)
