so dont cancel your pre-order just because of a little demo.
I think the initial rage has died down, but it's still disappointing :/
IMO canceling a pre-order isn't such a big deal. It's just saying "ok I don't have the confidence to buy your game based on the current info." Most people will probably buy it again once they read over reviews and see the game in action. No big deal. It's a good way to say "hey, we'd also like some attention" while still supporting the game (we'll buy it once you start giving us some info).
And really, it's not just because we "don't get a demo" - there's a lot more to it then that. It's frustrating how people are saying "ohh you pc players totally going **** because you don't get a demo whine whine whine..." but you have to understand it's not just the demo. There's been a suspicious lack of information in regards to the PC/PS3 versions.
E3 gameplay reveal? Xbox 360. "Hero's Journey" trailer? Xbox 360. MP beta "stress test"? Xbox 360. New MP trailer? Xbox 360. MP beta? Xbox 360.
See a pattern? Not a single PC screenshot released. Not one snippet of gameplay video - nothing. Has mod support been officially announced? Nope. Is SB2 shipping with Crysis 2? Hopefully, but nothing confirmed. For any other game, I don't think this would bug me as much, but for the sequel to such a definitive PC game like Crysis, it's kind of unnerving.
PS3 players are really getting the shaft. At least PC players have had rumors and snippets from people saying "oh god it's beautiful - you guys won't be disappointed" but nothing for the PS3.
I really want this game to be good, and I really want this game to do well on PC, because I know it if doesn't there will be a huge chance that Crysis 3 won't come out for PC (yeah EA I know you would go there you sly dogs), but at the same time part of me wants to see it bomb on the PC because it's ridiculous that they completely ignore us and rely on the idea that it'll sell well on pc just because Crysis 1 was such a definitive pc game.
