Point of duel wield weapons?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 5:28 am

Correct me if I am wrong but duel wielding seems no faster then just using a regular 1 hander weapon and spamming attack. What is the benefit of using a weapon in both hands if you can hit just as fast for the same damage with a single weapon? If I am wrong here how should I be fighting? Left button > right button > left button etc. Or pressing both mouse buttons at the same time?

There is no point unless you have two different enchanted weapons and want to use them both,

I'm not sure. Except with dual flurry effects.

I've been using it and thee is a perk which I've just got the first rank of that increases dual weapon speed by 25% and the next by another 35% so in the long run you will be attacking 60% faster than any other weapon can, I love using dual weapons

Remember you can duel wield anything except 2 handed weapons, so keep trying combinations and see what works best for you.

Well I can tell duel wielding would be viable in the long run but I don't think its my play style. I think I will stick to good old sword and board like I usually do.

The perks will enhance the dual-wielding ability.

Why does there have to be a point or a benefit? What happened to personal preference..? Choice? RP?

The perks add attack speed to dual wielded weapons, so your overall damage output increases. You can also do special moves by attacking with both weapons at the same time.
