Would be better, but if they wanted dedicated servers the game would've launched with them. As it is, the likelyhood of them being implemented is about as likely as Barack Obama expressing his secret love of the British.

They can't just patch dedicated servers like that, as much as the players would love it.

You shouldn't even be allowed to have P2P servers anymore on these shooters. Unless you think it's cool to copy the most hated publisher in the gaming universe. (Activision)
