(POLL)Should Dishonored have multiplayer incorporated?

Co-creative director Raphael Colantonio said:

“We might be interested by multiplayer. And this would not necessarily be the traditional multiplayer approach. But primarily, we are storytellers. That’s the part we like. So as long as multiplayer does not go against that – which is unfortunately often the case with multiplayer because you have to remove any story bits because they go at odds with the strict values of multiplayer – [we're interested].

“But yes, generally we’re more into single-player. Someone playing at their own pace, which is another thing that goes against multiplayer values. In multiplayer, there’s a group, so everyone has to worry about going forward or being shot at. But we’re also keeping an eye out for ways to do multiplayer the right way.''

What do you think?Personally I choose for only single player.Because:

1)A game that's so great due to it's single player shouldn't risk getting ruined by multiplayer (like games like God of war Ascension,Batman Arkham Origins which had lesser focus on their single player counterparts.)

2)Adding a multiplayer element means developers will have to focus less on the single player side (one of the reasons single player games with multiplayer becomes shorter and more linear).Dishonored is at it's best when it has single player due to it's awesome creativity, freedom, choice based story and so many remarkable unique gameplay elements that makes for it's replay value and entertainment.

3)There are more than enough titles that added multiplayer elements to their games in spite of not needing to like:Assassin's Creed,Uncharted,GTA V etc.

4)There are separate titles called MMO and most don't have single player. But nowadays Single player games to have multiplayer is becoming a must. But Dishonored much like Wolfenstein could be better off being single player only.Isn't that why games are for?For entertainment?

Hi,

I think there could be multiplayer indeed.

But no adverserial multiplayer.

I thought about something like a little Coop Campaign for either 2 or even 4 players if they can manage it. No matter which of the two, both coop versions would be an awesome addition.

I am sure you could cook up a storyline evolving around 2 other interesting people in the city, maybe associated with the main protagonist of the next game, I would definitely love it.

Advererial multiplayer wouldn't fit I think. But I always would have liked to have a Assassins Creed coop for example, we never got one so far.

I think in case of Dishonored it would be even cooler.

You could see each other Blink and use powers. If you slow time you can both move in that time (a "bend time"-sharing, like in the fight between Corvo and Daud).

Also, real cooperative abilities could be nice, abilities for which each one of you alone might be "too weak". So you combine your powers for cooperation.

I could see awesome things to happen there, and it could be included very nicely and with just a few changes (to incooperate teamwork and keep up the challenge) to the singleplayer.

Imagine playing Dishonored with your friend online and going on some missions together.

I think if it's coop. Yes, Yes, Yes, include it !!

If it's adverserial.... no.
