Poltergeist In My Skyrim?

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 5:54 am

Hey Forum,

I have a odd bug in Skyrim and i wanted to know if this was just me or this happens for a few people. When i walk into a place poplated by NPC's (Shops, Taverns, Castles) the objects that have been placed nicely start making a jittering noise like they are moving and then suddenly some fly off shelf's or a entire shelfload will fly off and go everywhere.

It's an odd bug since i like stuff placed nicely around my house in Skyrim, goblets and plates flying everywhere is sort of destroys the immersion for me! haha.

I don't know if this is related or not, but I saw a ghost on horseback on my one play though. It was night time and I was just running on the road out of the first town you come to, heading for the power stones and this white ghost just rode past me. It didn't look like a bug, as the ghost had features, just all transparant/white looking. It didn't clip though anything and stayed on the path up through the hillside. I followed it for as long as I could but it eventually got too far away and vanished.

If you disable vsync you need to use an external FPS limiter to keep the framerate at 60 or below, or else crazy physics happen.

Yep, I have the same problem in many places as well and its really annoying and lame that I take "damage" from a flying kettle or pot that careens outa control across the damn room. I especially love it when I open closet and locked doors only to have crap fly into my face

Ah, I was wondering why people were using the FPS limiter.

Bumping cause this will help the people who have this issue who have dorked with vsync out of some need.

Lucky for me there was no need for doing so I do not have this issue.

You know it has struck me like a bolt out of the blue how it would be so useful to have a sticky
with known issues and fixes like this.

Huh. Dumb idea.

Disabling the games vsync, or setting iPresentInterval=0 can break the games day and time sync throwing game town off. For example, it not changing to Morndas until 5pm, instead of 00:00.

It can also cause other things to happen.
