Poor to No Mouse Interaction in UI screens

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 1:47 pm

Few bugs, might be related to each other.

Using the mouse in a save menu, or any other settings type menu causes the highlight to twitch out then vanish, leaving me unable to highlight anything. Keyboard controls to make selections work properly, as long as the mouse isn't on the window.

I'm unable to select any options in a dialogue window other than the first one, mouse and keyboard controls to highlight a choice don't register properly. I'll highlight option 4, and click, only to get option 1.

Going to the skills window will shove me into the deepest part of destruction I can see, with no real way to back out of it.

The game will randomly shove me into 3rd person view. Pressing F causes the screen to twitch forward into 1st person view, and then settle back on 3rd person. Using the mouse scroll wheel and F (repeatedly) at the same time seems to fix this.

I just wanted to add my voice in that I'm experiencing the very same set of problems you are, Every one you listed. I've had no resolution yet. Sometimes I'll plug in my 360 controller when I get too frustrated (couldn't navigate the menu to a potion to save me in a fight, for one), but even controlling the menu with that is unreliable, albeit much better than trying with mouse/keyboard.

When I loaded it up last night, I didn't notice any problems on my end with the PC version, BUT I will readily admit that I was quite a few pints in...so the sluggish UI I attributed to that.

But now that I'm reading all of these UI problems from users, i'll pay more attention to it when I get on tonight. We'll see what I find.

With the mouse not working - what hardware do you have for it?

I'm using a Razer Naga MMOG

edit: I'd like to further add that if I go in using my X360 controller from the get go, never touching the mouse, the controller works fine. It's hardly a fix, but it is at least playable now.

I'm also using a Razer Naga.

I'll test my mouse out, to make sure its not the "black mousepad" issue that Nagas suffer from.

But my hardware is pretty much, i7, Evga x58 mobo, Razer Naga, Windows 7 x64.
