Poor texture rendering?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 2:27 pm

I've been noticing a few horrible textures around skyrim. Like the ice in Windhelm on the ground are big squares and the snow on rocks, stone slabs, ect looks like it has no texture at all. Also first person weapon textures, on my orcish ax for instance looks very blurry. Are these issues are they just this way because the ps3 can't handle much more?

I really don't get this game at all. Some places look absolutely terrible, like the pixelated, flipping 1980 shadows, and the cell shaded snow scenes. And then some look absolutely breathtaking like inside BleakFalls Barrow.

It's like it's 1/2 finished or something.

I guess having a bunch of elevens in the release date was more important than delaying and shipping a playable game.

I think this is just a game issue, and I can live with the odd poor texture. I have spent this afternoon around Solitude, and it looks beautiful.

Yes there is the odd bit of snow that looks like paint, but I don't really notice as so many areas are so beautiful.
