If bandits come and kidnap him/her don't go and rescue him/her.

Awesome.

EDIT: There should be an option to drop them off at the orphenage.

Then one day, when you're an old/fat/lazy adventurer, just wandering around drinking mead and eating sweet rolls, reading The Lusty Argonian Maid "image edition" all day, you step out of the house and some guy comes to you and says: "Remember me, pa?", and performs a nice finisher/decapitation with a Daedric Sword. Your head slowly rolls down the hill and stops near the river bank, screen turns black: FIN.

If Beth include this as a dlc, I will sure grab one

maybe buy a house you have no plan of living in and telling the kid to live there, never go into the house and you'll never see them

Then the kid could be the villian of the next Skyrim DLC. Think about it, Abused children rise up in arms to kill the dragonborn who couldn't even take them out for mexican food once a month.

Bring the kid to the Sacellum of Boethiah.
Take him dragon hunting, then when the dragon comes, run away ??
I don't think that would actually work, but it would
Be cool lol.
Won't work. They won't follow you and they're immortal anyway.

Adoption is even worse than marriage in this game. As least when you're married you have a way out- provided you didn't marry someone 'essential'.

Yeah, I'm going to go out on a limb here to say adoption isn't the real issue in the game.

Un-adopting a child. I think that might be the most messed up think I've heard of in a while.
Game wise I think your stuck with them.

:D exactly, what a disturbed thread..

Use the revenant spell and make the child disappear.

How?

How?

He's talking about the 'Murder Essential NPC' exploit where you cast Revenant onto a specific spot on the NPC's face, and they turn into a pile of ash.

As for not being bale to unadopt, I see no issue with that. Its realistic, and there would be no concievable way you could do it without some pretty stupid [censored].

EDIT: Clarified

Parenthood ain't for pansies.

Just be glad all you have to deal with is adventurous 9-10 year olds. As opposed to an actual parenting sim with children of various ages.

* Age 0-2 months. Your child never sleeps through the night. No Well Rested or Lovers bonuses for you.
* Age 0-2.5 years. You have to change diapers. 10% chance of getting a disease from it.
* Age 3-6 years. Your child is having nightmares and likes to climb in bed with you and your spouse. No Lovers bonus. Ever.
* Age 6-8 years. Your child asks you how babies are made. Lose 2 Speech (permanantly) out of sheer embarrassment.

And then those teenage travails: getting a Mohawk/pierced nose/creepy outfit. Borrowing the wagon. Weird friends. Selling your best enchanted blade to finance his secret skooma addiction...

Face it, Skyrim parenting is easy. You don't even worry about your kids getting hurt.

Amen. I've been through that in the real world. Wouldn't trade that experience for anything, but gods, it would have been so much easier if she were invulnerable.

Okay, thought it was a response to my post for some reason. Wouldn't be the first time I've been called that.

I'm fairly certain my son was invulnerable. He fell from the roof of my home onto gravel when he was ten. I think I've mentioned I live in a castle?
