is it possible to disablerebind the console?

Hiya, been loving skyrim so far after a few tweaks. hopefully bethesda will roll these out in a future patch as the default.

Anyways, I like using the tilda (~) key for voice chat purposes.

In skyrim that key is used for the console.

It's not a huge deal, obviously I can try using a different key for voice chat, but I'm curious if it's possible to either:

  • rebind the console to use a different key
  • disable the console entirely
Any tips would be appreciated =)

Unfortunately I haven't played Skyrim yet, but Oblivion had a setting in its .ini file "bAllowConsole=1" where if you set the "1" to "0" ("bAllowConsole=0") it would disable it in game. I wouldn't be surprised if Skyrim had such a variable in its .ini file as well.

thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately this does not work in Skyrim, tried it in both the ini files =(
