Is is possible to max out all the Mage perks?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 10:49 am

I'm just curious, by the time I hit level 50 and do all the perk quests, can I max out all of the perks for the schools of magic? (Restoration, Destruction, Illusion, Conjuration)

Is that possible to do?

I'm not touching conjuration and only a few in alteration.

I'm only taking certain branches of each skill.

Might max out restoration and destruction though

Its easy, if you have the game at hand count each perk you can take.
If that number is more or less than 50 you have a answer.

if 50 is the max level and you get 50 perks you can figure that out I think.

I font have the game on had to tell you.

I'm pretty sure you can level past 50, but it's hard to do so because you'd need to level a lot of skills you don't use much

Only Magic Schools I end up at 55-58 perks for my Mage build. I didn't even take every perk from the magic trees. And I did not touch Enchanting or Alchemy.

alteration 14
conjuration 16
destruction 17
illustion 14
restoration 13

Total 74

So to make the 5 schools of magic you have to reach level 75 (remember you start at level 1 and don't get your first perk till 2) I have heard something along the lines of the cap being 50, 70, and 80 so I am not too sure which is accurate.

Soft cap: 50
At this point all of your major skills are 100. Leveling from here on will have to be through the use of minor skills. (Such as Blacksmithing if your Mage, Destruction if your a Warrior, etc.)

Hard cap: 81
At this point all of your skills are 100 and therefore you can no longer gain experience.

Yes its possible but youll have to max out most skills to reach the required level. The level cap is 81 and theres a quest that gives 5 bonus perks so maximum potential is 85 perks. That covers a full third of the perks in the game, so you could max out Mage perks, or Thief perks or Warrior perks... or go for a mix of them all, obviously.

Level 50 for perks, 70 for max level.

Utterly outdated info. You keep gaining perks up to the end, and the max level is actually 81.
