possible to upgrade laptops gpu?

So people say you cant upgrade a laptops gpu. Does that mean the everyday joe cant/its risky or does it means its literally impossible?

It's possible on some laptops, I think, by completely removing the laptop apart. It's very hard to do and not recommended.

Unless it's specifically made that way (like with an expansion port or something) I'd think it's impossible. Even if you could somehow take it apart and put a new one in, it would probably generate more heat than the laptop was originally designed to handle.

Well im not talking about upgrading a 528 mb gpu to a 2 gig dedicated vram gpu, thatd cause massive overheating.

I have a 1gb dedicated vram gpu but its low end/entry level. There are far better performing 1 gb dedicated gpus and i wanna upgrade. I have a very large laptop
