Possibly a Skyrim gamers worst nightmare...

Post » Thu Dec 06, 2012 2:44 pm

So i just gone and done the worst thing that i ever could have done, i had a level 81 Nord account (my main account) and completed all of every DLC, i got bored and decided to make a new account and then had to quickly bail, i saved and left... When i returned i had realized i saved over my MAIN ACCOUNT... Karma? Misfortune? Bad luck? Bone-idleness? Whatever, but is there any way for me to retrieve that save?

Perfect excuse to start a new character, maybe try to not make them so uber. A balanced character completely changes the game.

I bungled on one of my saves like this before. Luckily I had already retired him.

I understand there's not much more to do when you've reached this far, but it's nice to have a character pretty much fully upgraded with loads of unique armors and weaponry, though i was starting a new character anyway... It's nice to have something to go back on if i ever fancy it, if you get me. It just seems to be a waste; all them hours and hours and hours of gameplay put in.

I hate to admit it but being a PC player and having so many mods at my disposal I tend to make alot of characters and console them to a more comfortable skill set to start with. Now this leads me to having about 10+ characters at anytime. Some are cheat characters just to test stuff out or walk around as a badass and some are characters that I actually play from lvl 1 on up without the console. My point is is that I have to do monthly cleaning of my save games to keep it straight. I don't have one character that I've played since last November and I couldn't be happier.

My latest character is perking all three crafting skills, but no weapon or armor skills and the only weapons/armor he uses are ones he made from scratch with materials he mined himself. He's only level 10 and I am expecting that with three crafting skills he may someday become OP, but so far, he has been a lot tougher to play than a normal character. A regular warrior with a couple of points into armsman can take down a bandit in one or two swings of his sword, but my character with his fine iron sword and no perks in armsman has to land four or five hits to take down the same bandit. Its been an interesting adventure in balance. Once he finds some dwarven scrap metal and moves from iron to dwarven gear, I expect he will be a lot tougher. but if you roleplay (and don't buy from vendors), it can take a long time to find dwarven scrap metal.
