Post-character creation tinkering.

The things I loved about both Fallout games ovoer TES was how you could, during the actual game, choose to change your characters looks in various ways.

With Skyrim having even more detail to characters with additions of things like Scars, Warpaint (which is just paint..), etc I was hoping they would have also borrowed more from fallout in regards to have post character creation ways to ochange your looks, but alas it's not in.

Has anyone found a way, though an INI or anything to change various costmetic attribues for your character?

How hard would it be to mod in such an ability? IE a simple talk to NPC x, which takes you to the character creation screen again to change your looks.

IT just seems like something that could have EASILY been in the game, even explained via lore (magic mirror....something, which is how both Dragon age II and Divinity 2 did it).

I took a look at the list of http://www.skse.silverlock.org/vanilla_commands.html (courtesy of the Script Extender team) and it seems like the ShowRaceMenu console command still exists. There is also a ShowChargenMenu. Be Warned: In Oblivion those menus had nasty side effects unless you closed them correctly (more on that http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/ShowRaceMenu). And I have no idea if or how they work in Skyrim (36% done ...)

I already used ShowRaceMenu once mid game and it wouldn't let me "close them correctly" by forcing a save so I just closed it 'normally' and it worked fine. I haven't noticed any side effects like there were in OB and MW.

Make sure to make a backup save anyway.
